Architect Theodore Starrett designed the Spanish Mediterranean style apartment building with Moorish influences for owner Jack Kinder (some sources spell the name "Kiuder") in 1929. It was the first major building in the area, originally operating as an apartment-hotel. The construction was somewhat of an engineering feat; the 18 suites are terraced in five stories on a street-to-street lot with the rear units and parking garage cascading down the hill to Palmerston Place.
Located at 1939 N. Kenmore Avenue in the Los Feliz Village neighborhood of Los Angeles.
