Castles always hold a special fascination; I guess it's the British in me! I have always wanted to get a closer look at the old (1928) castle on Tryon Road; it has that forbidding look, perched on a steep hillside, looking a bit forlorn and maybe even haunted. The opportunity arose recently; the house has been repossessed from its most recent owner (Actor Nicholas Cage also owned it recently), and is now listed for sale for a mere $1.249,000 (as of November 2010). The house is large; 4 bedrooms and 5 baths in 5,367 sq. feet of living space. It needs some work but seems like a bargain to me. Located at 5647 Tryon Road in the Los Feliz Oaks.
